Carlindean Madison Obituary



Carlindean "Cat" Madison was born to Robert and Louise Madison on September 27, 1958 in Belleview Florida. Carlindean accepted Christ at an early age where she attended
Pleasant Hill Church of God and Christ. Carlindean began her official education at Belleview-Santos, Belleview Elementary, Lake Weir Middle and graduated from Lake Weir High School in 1976.

Carlindean entered the United States Army in 1980 and served Honorably for 21 years. Ascending to the rank of Sergeant First Class upon retirement. Carlindean was stationed at  numerous locations such as Vicenza, Italy; Fort Carson, Colorado; Kaiserslautern, Germany; Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Carlindean's awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), the Army Achievement Medal (4th Award), the Army Good Conduct Medal (7th
Award), and the Army Superior Unit Award. Once retired, Carlindean's professionalism continued as a Federal Civil Service employee where she worked as a Special Security Officer at Fort Knox, Kentucky (8 years) and Fort Benning, Georgia (12 years).

Cat was a yearly donor and participant of the Mount Canaan Community Youth Center, the Women's Shelter of Columbus, Georgia among numerous other non-profit organizations.

A woman with a righteous heart knows how to empathize with others' feelings. She will put someone else before herself and in doing so, will give up personal gains to help someone else achieve their dreams or goals and offer endless support. Carlindean Madison was the epitome of a woman with a righteous heart.

Carlindean leaves to cherish her memories a Son, Alex; Husband, Melvin; loving grandchildren; Brothers: Leon (Sheron), Nate, Kenny (Linda); Sisters: Evelyn and Jean; Aunts: Edith Teamer, Maxine (Darren); Uncles: William (Sherry), Charles, Willie, Kevin (Charlotte), Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and countless Friends.
