Jannie Mobley Obituary

“A TIME TO BE BORN”

Mrs. Jannie Mobley was born on April 24, 1926, in Alachua County, Florida, to the late Porter Williams and Elnora LaineWilliams. After a gradual decline in health, The Lord called her home to rest on Friday, July 3, 2020.

 

“A TIME TO GROW”

Having been reared in Gainesville, Florida, she received her education in the Alachua County school system. At an early age,she confessed Christ and became a member of the SpringhillBaptist Church of Gainesville, Florida where she faithfully served until moving to Orlando, Florida where she later joined the Shiloh Baptist Church of Orlando. While there she was a member of the Pulpit Aid Guild and participated in other ministries of the church. She served faithfully until her illness and demise. 

 

Mrs. Mobley enjoyed a career with Hyatt House Hotels where she was a supervisor of the Housekeeping Department. There she part of the Distinguished Service Team where she received an award for her contribution to the department. In the words of her resident manager, “You have been exceptional in respect of your job and put out more than is needed, we are very proud to have you as a part of our team.”

 

“A TIME TO LOVE”

Mrs. Mobley was joined in Holy Matrimony to Raymond Mobley. For over 50 years they were the center of each other’s joy, enjoying many precious moments together along with family and friends. Jannie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.

 

“A TIME TO MOURN”

Mrs. Mobley was preceded in passing by her husband, Mr. Raymond Mobley; two brothers; Ralph and Roscoe, two sisters; Eloise and Alice, and one son; Raymond Jr.

 

She leaves behind those cherishing her memories so loving in their hearts; son Randy (Patricia) Mobley, Orlando, Florida, Grandchildren; Josiah Mobley, Raymond (April) Mobley III,Christina (John) Grady, Phillip Mobley, Preston Mobley, Paul (Charlene) Mobley. A loving blended and extended family of Granddaughters; Fransquita Grissett, Johannice (Alfred) Cox, Weida Fuller, Tchetha Grissett, Zina (David) Myers. A host of Great Grandchildren (19), Great, Great, Grandchildren (15). A Special niece; Barbara J. Miles, and a devoted in-law and friend: Loretta Williams Gaitor. Many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
